Founder, President and CEO
At the helm of EW Group, Rich leads his enthusiastic team in all aspects of creating and implementing unparalleled programs and events for their client partners. Before starting his original company, EventWorks, in 1999, Rich gained extensive experience in sports, media, marketing, event management, and non-profit development. He held positions with the National Football League, CBS Sports and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, developing, executing, and delivering results that addressed the unique goals and challenges of each organization.
While at the MS Society for ten plus years, Rich increased his department’s revenue by over 2,000%, raising more than $15 million during his tenure. His accomplishments there include the conception of the NYC MS Walk and the MS Bike Tour, which today raise millions of dollars combined. Under Rich’s leadership, the MS Bike Tour became the largest one-day charity bike tour in the country.
Over his career, Rich has been instrumental in the creation, development and execution of more than 700 fundraising and “for profit” events. Rich’s creativity and passion for using events and programs to help his clients achieve their goals in both the non-profit, corporate and government worlds, was the driving force behind EventWorks’ success, and the core of what the renamed EW Group has become today. Rich is inspired and driven by the phrase, “always thinking,” and instills this philosophy in his team members. From the start of any partnership, Rich assures that EW Group will always be thinking about how to create, plan and implement the most successful event on behalf of its clients.
Rich graduated from Bucknell University with a degree in Business Management. He and his wife, Helen, currently reside in New Rochelle, NY, along with their three girls, Kelly, Allyson and Caroline.
